EU Projects Training

Master EU Grants

Privanova organises and delivers training on all aspects of proposal preparation (pre-submission) and EU project management (post-grant). With the targeted training provided by our highly skilled staff, you will improve your organisation's chances of success in accessing EU funding and delivering impactful projects. Designed to provide practical advice on proposal preparation and grant management, our training is divided into different modules covering both proposal management and project active phases.

The main benefit of our modular approach to EU Projects Training is that it allows learners to study small, focused topics that can be combined, and retain information better. This approach is of interest to busy professionals who may not have the time to commit to a traditional, long-term in-person training program. Based on real-life experiences in drafting, evaluating and managing EU projects, we will make sure to deliver engaging and interactive training, with a focus on practical application and real-world examples.

"My team and I attended Privanova's EU Projects Training and were thoroughly satisfied with the quality of the training provided. The modules were well-structured and covered everything we needed. The trainers were highly skilled. Thanks to the training, we now have a dedicated EU Projects support team."

Evaluations, Reviews
& Ethics Checks

Our training modules rely on our real-life experience with both project management and project evaluation. Working with different EU agencies such as REA, ERC, EIC since 2013, we assisted the European Commission during numerous proposal evaluations, reviews of ongoing projects and ethics checks and reviews. This first-hand knowledge helps us stay in tune with the latest developments and transpose them into our training.

This group of five modules addresses the pre-submission proposal management activities. Its purpose is to strengthen the research management capacities and administrative skills of your team by delivering modern, in-person or online capacity-building activities. Successful completion of these five modules should enable your organisation to streamline the proposal preparation process by developing the necessary skills and internal processes automating various proposal-drafting tasks.

These modules are independent and can be combined:

    1. Call Identification & Analysis (considering different grants and instruments with particular focus on RIA / IA / CSA financial instruments)
    2. Consortium Building (tools, resources and networks for a balanced, geographically distributed well-managed consortium that can cover all the call requirements)
    3. Proposal Drafting (streamlined process, tools and templates for the successful management of the proposal drafting tasks)
    4. Budgeting, negotiations (pre-submission budgeting, negotiations with an accent on novelties in HE such as Lump-Sum)
    5. EU Ethics Appraisal Scheme (ethics compliance from Ethics Self-Assessment, over Ethics Requirements and Deliverables to Ethics Reviews).

This group of additional five training modules addresses the post-submission project management and coordination. We will cover key aspects concerning administrative, financial, contractual, organisational, legal, and other issues that a coordinator could face following a successful scientific evaluation of the project and commencement of the GAP.

Once again, the training is divided into a series of 5 thematic in-person and/or hybrid workshops on the following topics:

    1. Legal, Contractual & IPR Issues (including key elements such as Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement preparation, definition and management of background, confidentiality, ownership of results etc.)
    2. Reporting (timesheets, financial reports, technical reports, reporting periods and project reviews management, etc.)
    3. Management of Research Data (FAIR-compliant management of research information in general, GDPR-compliant management of processing of personal data in particular, Drafting and maintaining a DMP, EU Open Data management etc)
    4. Communication & Dissemination (Tools and platforms, content management, social media presence, scientific publication and conferences, dissemination level requirements etc.)
    5. Exploitation of results (Standardisation, Business planning and Go-to-market strategies, Strategies for individual and collective commercialisation of results etc).

Let's discuss your EU project training requirements.
