    We are seeking to recruit a Junior Project Manager with a background in privacy and data protection to assist the company across our portfolio of research projects and services.     Main Activities

    Ensuring compliance of project activities and outcomes with relevant privacy and data protection rules

    • Writing Data Management Plans
    • Carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments
    • Identifying and mitigating privacy-related risks
    • Provide guidance on legal and ethical issues to project partners

    Drafting project deliverables (reports)

    Organising and attending project meetings and events

    Representing the project at relevant third party events

    (Co-)authoring scientific articles and popular science publications (blogs, newsletters)

    Contributing to drafting new project proposals for external funding

    Your Experience and Skills

    Candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications:

    Essential

    • Master’s degree in law, preferably with a specialisation in technology law, or privacy and data protection law. Interdisciplinary backgrounds are also welcomed.
    • Experience in applying GDPR, the ability to analyse legislative requirements and translate these into organisational practices and solutions.
    • Excellent writing skills (fluency in English is a must)
    • Excellent organisational and communicative skills
    • The ability to work independently, under pressure, respect deadlines, and produce quality work

    Desirable

    • Acquaintance with EU-funded projects (H2020, Horizon Europe)
    • Experience addressing the Ethics Requirements in EU-funded projects
    • Experience in online publishing (blog, SEO)
    • Ability to present ideas and draft well-presented documents
    • Interest in evaluating technologies from an ethics perspective
    • CIPP/E or other data protection or information security compliance certifications

    To reinforce our team, we are seeking to recruit an EU Project Manager & Proposal Drafting Lead. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the overall proposal drafting management working alongside Privanova's Access to Funding & Innovation Management services team.

    Main Activities

    • Identify EU funding Calls of interest to Privanova and keep the management informed;
    • Analyse the Call and prepare the initial Call note outlining its scope, expected outcomes, potential partners and stakeholders;
    • Lead the proposal management phase, organise meetings, set deadlines and coordinate the drafting process internally with the Privanova team and externally with consortium partners;
    • Ensure the quality of the proposal in terms of coherence and timely completion of Objectives and corresponding Key Results, Methodology, Impact, and Work Packages with corresponding Tasks, Deliverables, Milestones etc;
    • Use our existing portfolio of successful projects and unsuccessful proposals to build an internal knowledge base and submit more competitive proposals;
    • Scout for opportunities to join strong consortia led by other organisations;
    • Promote Privanova’s presence on the F&T portal: submit company description and offers of expertise under relevant Calls, identify interesting requests for expertise, make appropriate offers and inform the management;
    • Promote Privanova’s presence on Crowdhelix: identify interesting requests for expertise, send requests for more information and make offers of expertise where appropriate.

    Your Experience and Skills

    Candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications:

    Essential

    • At least two years experience in the preparation and writing of EU proposals
    • Good knowledge of the EU proposal preparation process
    • Excellent writing skills (fluency in English is a must)
    • Excellent organisational and communicative skills
    • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail when handling information
    • The ability to work independently, under pressure, respect deadlines, and produce quality work

    Desirable

    • Previous experience in the management of active EU-funded projects
    • Familiarity with the evaluation process and criteria
    • Ability to present ideas and draft well-presented documents
